Who this is for

When insight has not been enough

You may have been in therapy for months, or years. You may be able to explain your trauma clearly, name the patterns, and describe exactly where it all started.

And your body still reacts as though none of that were true. Still braced. Still scanning. Still flooding at things that you know, intellectually, are not dangerous.

That gap between understanding and experience is extremely common, and it is not a sign that therapy failed. Trauma is held in the nervous system, and the nervous system does not learn by being explained to. It learns through experience, movement, and safety it can actually feel.

A nature-based intensive is built for that gap.

Why outdoors, and why so long

Two things change when you leave the office. Walking side by side removes the pressure of sustained face-to-face contact, which for many trauma survivors is itself activating. And rhythmic bilateral movement, the simple left-right of walking, gives the nervous system a steady anchor while difficult material is being processed.

The length matters just as much. Deep processing has an arc: approach, activation, and then the settling that follows. A standard session frequently ends somewhere in the middle of that arc, which is the worst possible place to stop. Three and a half hours lets it complete.

The structure

Three phases, one arc

Phase 1

Preparation, 90 minutes

Reviewing your history, establishing safety, mapping which trauma responses to work with, and building your baseline before anything happens outdoors.

Phase 2

The intensive, 3.5 hours

Arrival and sensory grounding, deep processing with rhythmic bilateral movement, tactile resourcing and physical release, then building a grounding toolkit you can take anywhere.

Phase 3

Integration, 60 minutes

Two weeks later. How your nervous system is actually adapting day to day, and refining the practices you are using at home.

$1,200 for all three phases. Self-pay, with payment plans available. You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate before you begin.
Before you book

What people want to know first

Why three and a half hours?
Because that is roughly how long it takes for a nervous system to stop bracing. In a 50-minute session, the moment something opens up is often the moment the hour ends. An intensive removes the clock as a factor, so the work can go all the way through rather than being interrupted at its most difficult point.
Do I need to be physically fit?
No. This is not a hike. The walking is gentle, slow and led by what your body wants, and there is as much sitting and stillness as there is movement. If you have mobility considerations, say so on the consultation call and the day gets built around them.
What if I get overwhelmed out there?
That possibility is planned for rather than hoped against. The preparation session exists specifically to build your grounding tools first, and the pacing is yours throughout. Stopping, resting or changing direction is always available and is never treated as failure.
What should I bring and wear?
Comfortable clothes and shoes you can walk in, water, and anything that helps you feel settled. You will get specific guidance after the preparation session.
Is one intensive enough?
For some people a single intensive shifts something that months of weekly sessions had not. For others it is a turning point inside a longer piece of work. What it is not is a magic day, and it will not be sold to you as one.
What is the integration session for?
Two weeks after the intensive, a 60-minute session to see how your nervous system has actually adapted in daily life and to adjust your home practices. It is included, and it is where a lot of the durable change gets consolidated.
Where do the intensives happen?
At quiet natural locations around Palm Beach County, chosen for privacy and calm. The specific location is agreed with you beforehand.
Take the first step

A half day, and room to finish the thought

The consultation is free and fifteen minutes. You describe where you are stuck, and together you work out whether an intensive is the right next step or whether something gentler makes more sense.
