Why this works

Traditional sessions end right as you get somewhere

Fifty minutes across a desk often runs out at the exact moment something opens up. Sitting face to face in a small room builds pressure and keeps your nervous system on guard. We do this differently.

Lower stress, less pressure

Outdoor, side-by-side sessions naturally lower cortisol, calm hyper-vigilance, and remove the pressure of sitting face to face in a small room.

Accelerated progress

Compress months of traditional weekly therapy into a single immersive half day, with room to go all the way through something instead of stopping at the hour.

Somatic and neural reset

Rhythmic movement, nature anchors and structured protocols let the body process what talking alone has not been able to reach.

Spiritual connection

Reconnect with your body, your own intuition, and the grounding steadiness of the natural world.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy

When you have tried everything and nothing has held

Some depressions do not respond to talking, and some do not respond to medication either. That is not a personal failure and it does not mean you are beyond help. Sometimes it means the conditions have never been right for the work to land.

What ketamine-assisted therapy actually is

Ketamine is a medicine that has been used safely in medical settings for decades. Used carefully under medical supervision, it appears to briefly soften rigid thought patterns and open a window of increased neuroplasticity, meaning the brain becomes more able to form new connections.

That window is the point. The medicine does not do the healing. Therapy inside the window does. This is why Heather's protocol pairs every medicine session with a dedicated integration session within 24 to 48 hours, while things are still moveable.

The medicine opens the door. The therapy is what you do once you are through it.

How it works here

  • Journey Clinical handles the medicine. Their medical team decides whether you are eligible, prescribes, and monitors your outcomes. They bill you separately.
  • Heather handles the therapy. Preparation before, support during, and the integration work afterwards that turns an experience into change.
  • 16 sessions across the protocol, so the work has somewhere to go rather than stopping the moment the medicine wears off.
  • It is not for everyone. There are medical and psychiatric reasons it may not be appropriate, and you will be told plainly if that is the case.
Read how it works
Said plainly, because it matters: using ketamine to treat depression, anxiety or PTSD is an off-label use. It is legal and it is common, but it is not an FDA-approved indication, and nobody can promise you an outcome. What is offered here is a careful process, honest screening, and real therapeutic support around it.

I founded Hidden Pathways out of a simple but powerful observation: sitting face to face across a desk in a traditional office often creates an atmosphere of pressure, stiffness and apprehension.

Earlier in my career, working in residential treatment centers and traditional clinical offices, I began taking clients outdoors for group therapy. The shift was immediate and profound. Outside, free to move and breathe, people visibly relaxed. The emotional walls came down, conversations flowed with organic ease, and deep healing naturally unfolded.

Nature serves as a natural conduit to access our own spirit, deepening our connection with ourselves and the divine.

Over my years treating complex mental health challenges, including addiction, anger, depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and personality disorders, I learned that deep emotional wounds rarely heal in hurried 50-minute increments.

Before you reach out

Questions people ask first

What actually happens in an outdoor session?
We meet at a quiet natural spot in Palm Beach County and walk side by side. There is no desk, and no clock counting down at you. Walking gives your nervous system something to do while the harder things get said, which is exactly why people find it easier out there.
Is ketamine-assisted therapy right for me?

That is genuinely a question for the free eligibility call rather than a website. What we can say plainly: ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is used for depression, anxiety and trauma that have not responded to other approaches, and using ketamine this way is an off-label use.

Heather provides the psychotherapy. Journey Clinical's medical team decides whether you are medically eligible, prescribes, and monitors. It is not appropriate for everyone, and if it is not right for you, you will be told so.

Is this confidential if we are in a public place?
Yes. Locations are chosen for privacy, sessions keep distance from other people, and you agree in advance how to handle it if you ever run into someone you know. Your confidentiality outdoors is protected exactly as it is in an office.
What if it rains?
Florida weather is Florida weather. If the day will not cooperate we move indoors or go virtual. You never lose a session to the forecast.
Do I have to book an intensive, or can I start small?
Start wherever you want. Plenty of people begin with regular sessions and only move to an intensive once they know the work suits them. There is no pressure to buy the biggest thing first.
Do you take my insurance?
Heather is in network with Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna and Evernorth, Optum, Oscar Health, UMR and UnitedHealthcare for individual sessions, and can provide out-of-network superbills. Intensives and ketamine-assisted therapy are self-pay, with payment plans available.
Do you work outside Palm Beach County?
Yes. Heather is licensed throughout Florida, so virtual sessions are available anywhere in the state. Outdoor sessions and intensives are in person around Greenacres, Lake Worth, Boynton Beach, Wellington, West Palm Beach and Royal Palm Beach.
How quickly can I be seen?
The free 15-minute consultation can usually be booked within a few days, and often sooner. The calendar on this page shows what is genuinely open rather than making you call to find out.
